I have long been of the belief that one cannot really steal daffodils. Their ephemeral nature and ridiculous abundance makes it seem somewhat wrong to let them languish in rows alongside pathways rarely visited.
They are the only flower that I will liberate.
Now, of course, my backyard is covered in hundreds of them. I keep the front porch well stocked with the cheery yellow and white blooms.
Great minds think alike! ;-) But I am going to try my luck with some hyacinths this weekend. Some good angelic soul has planted them around our appartment buildings and I think that 3 stems or so will make a wonderful spring addition to the appartment. Or I could just buy them off Wholefoods, but where's the suspense there???? ;-)
