There's really something just so incredibly beautiful about looking out over a field of snow, untouched by anything but the wind, a couple animals, and my own footprints. I love the plateau here. After a late-night drive, I'm now down in Epping at my parents' place for the week. It's nice to have a bit of a calmer week - though now that means finish applying to MIT, finalize my list of grad schools to apply to, and get my Christmas / Holiday cards out (I may even get some of them out before Christmas this year!). I'm now sitting in my apartment, watching the snow fall, sipping some tea, and listening to Christmas music. And the grass is turning white! It's our first real snowfall of the year! I need to go on a good roadtrip in the spring / early summer. Gather up a couple friends, and head either south to Florida or west to the Pacific - I'm not sure which. Maybe both. It was GORGEOUS today. Mid-60s and not a cloud in the sky! So I just got back from a 35-mile bike ride. Not a great pace, but can't expect much for not being able to ride much with the weather now.
