There's the danger inherent in fast shooting - you're already squeezing off the next shot when your brain registers "hey, shit, that last one didn't sound ri..." BOOM!

It's almost as fun as shooting slow-fire in a bullseye match with a really tweaked trigger on a match gun, and it decides to go full-auto on you.

I'm glad the shooter is OK...

Yep, that's exactly what happened. By the time anybody registered the squib, another one was on the way. Fortunately most of these guns are pretty durable and will put up with some abuse.

I've never seen the unintended full auto gun. I have seen Glocks double if the striker sleeve gets cracked.

I've done that exact same thing with a Marlin .22 rifle... tweak the trigger a bit and suddenly brrrip!

'Course, I've also had an M-60 turn into a runaway gun on me as well... THAT is quite an experience! A picosecond of pure panic before you remember to twist off the ammo belt and stop it.

That's not the guy who was using the dangerous reloads, was it?

I don't recall if he was a 1911 shooter....

Negative, this was another shooter entirely. Dangerous guy sometimes uses a wide body 1911 in .40, and sometimes uses a XD, if memory serves.

Shooter got lucky from the looks of things. Rattled his cage pretty good I bet. Glad to hear the shooter is ok.
