Rehearsal Last Night
I had a great rehearsal last night with the RB Chorale. I'm helping with wardrobe again this quarter. So far it's just measuring people for the costumes that need to be ordered. It's a job that needs to be done, so I don't mind that it's not a big job. Everyone is so nice there ( Read more... ) -
Best sweetie ever!
My sweetie gave me the greatest V-Day gift last night. A copy of "I Could Tell You but Then You Would Have to Be Destroyed by Me: Emblems from the Pentagon's Black World" by Trevor Paglen. It's (probably) a Girl!
I just heard from my brother Nathan. He and his wife Bobbi announced over Thanksgiving that they were having their 4th child. Nathan just told me they have an estimated due date. May 3rd. So far it looks like they're having another girl. Yay!
They're still working on names. The current favorite is Danielle Josephine LaRue. -

Dude! TheraFlu has 9 grams of carbs in it. NyQuil has 19 grams of carbs, between sugar and alcohol. There goes any chance I have of taking them. I'm totally sick and could use it. At least the pills don't have the carbs.

2007 in review
What an amazing year.
I have discovered that I hate first floor apartments. Hate does not begin to describe it. Loath is close. It has grown since the monsters upstairs purchased a treadmill or rowing machine or eliptical machine.

All of RB opened up last night. Fires are still going, but far enough to the north or east to not be a danger to San Diego. Lots of ash on our little porch, and the air still smells smoky, but no damage to the apartment. Well, the trash did stink pretty bad.

Vitamin reminder:
1. Don't take my calcium (or dairy products) with iron. The calcium blocks the iron absorption.
2. Take my B1 vitamin daily and B12 weekly.
3. The chewable multivitamin might be nasty, but after the bottle is done I can go back to the non-chewable. Only 2 more weeks. -

Sometimes I wonder about Ken. Mark called home over the last few days, trying to get a hold of Mom or Dad. He finally talks to Ken today. Ken tells Mark that Mom and Dad were down here in San Diego with me because I just had surgery. Mark gets a little freaked out. He didn't know anything was happening. Thank you for all your best wishes and healing prayers. I'm home from the hospital and doing fine. Surgery was successful and I was released right on schedule. I'm going to take (another) nap. I'll post more later.
