I tend to have really intense, consistent dreams. When I say consistent, I mean there's a basic plot and I stick to it. There are no dancing hippopotami, ever. I don't remember the last time I had a wacky, hilarious, silly dream. I dream predominantly in action-adventure

I definitely agree with that, I think emotions are the strongest and most important part of dreams because they are the most closely linked to your actual feelings.

It's interesting to think about it from the perspective of writing. Like, because I form most of my thoughts in a "story" way, my dreams also take that route. Very cool... and it makes sense.

- They're pretty creepy, although probably creepier for you since you experienced them directly.
- I don't think they're necessarily trying to tell you something specific, but if you've identified these recurring themes in your dreams then it certainly might mean something, along the lines of what linkeepsitreal sez. Sometimes I dream about the randomest shit and I know that's just my subconscious on crack, but since I dream a lot and remember a lot of my dreams I know I've got some persistent recurring dream motifs of my own.

I usually just don't bother with this kind of post, but I've had so many actually scary dreams recently that I decided to write it down. It definitely helped me to lay out what the recurring themes were. Writing things down makes you think about them! Magic!

Has anything been bothering you recently? I'm no psych or dream expert, but personally, I've been able to retrospectively link recurring dream themes to stuff that's been going on in real life. Two examples

I had a really hilarious dream a few weeks ago. I dreamt I was at some sort of Disney park with my family and usullusa and I was definitely a few years older. We were staying in the really nice hotel with huge glass windows. At one point, Matt freakin' Smith was there and asked for a threesome and bizarrely enough, I turned him down. Later we were at the Disney park (which was also sort of a zoo wtf) and goddamn meteors started falling from the sky. So Dumbledore shows up to get everyone out of the park and we're just managing to escape as I wake up.

My dreams often have plots but they usually have gaping plotholes and make no sense when I wake. They tend to be sort of sci-fi/fantasy adventures. Often I stab people.

And yes, your dreams sound creepy. I don't know what any of it means though. :|

My dreams always have cause-and-effect plots, though they often never complete before I wake up. Yours sound plenty creepy. And I know from experience that creepy dreams, no matter how impossible they seem after waking up, stay with you anyway.

It's good to know that other people do have dreams like this, and fairly often, too. GOD FORBID MY WEIRD DREAMS SHOULD MAKE ME SEEM WEIRD.

It's true that dreams stay with you. Even if you can't remember exactly what happened, it's all too easy to remember how you felt.
