my suggestion for that is to get a photobucket account and upload your pics to there. Photobucket! it's a free service too, btw.

Then, after they're uploaded on that page, you can use the URL that it gives you to upload them onto LJ. When you go to add an image, just put that images photobucket url into the spot and LJ will do the coding for you. That's how I do it, and it works out well for me.
