The last paper I ever have to write as an undergraduate has just been emailed off! Now, all that is left is one test, one half-assed reading journal, and three days.

So, my colloquium is in less than 24 hours, and I am absolutely terrified. I know this is something that everyone feels pretty good about after they've gone through it, and that nobody really fails, but it kind of seems like a hideous amalgamation of everything I'm bad at.

On the way to work in Queens, I stopped into a supermarket to pick up breakfast. Upon exiting, I noticed what appeared to be a mangled little plastic toy in front of the automatic door. Upon closer inspection, I realized that it was in fact a dead dart frog that looked remarkably like this little fellow:

After artfully skipping out on the obligatory yearly visit to the Holly Hill last year, I was afforded the opportunity mere days ago to learn to love it yet again. The XXL saddlebags acquired during my visit may only last months, but the memories, a lifetime.

Move in day today! God, it's so exciting. The apartment = absolutely amazing. I get my own room for the first time in three years, finally get to bring all my art supplies to this coast, and can relax and actually settle in somewhere instead of always planning for portability. So, I spent almost all of today at the Chelsea flea market getting gifts for people, all of which I am rather pleased with (tho my shopping is nowhere near done).
