The Car.

She's all better!

Most of you will recall that I was in a car accident in early September and that my precious baby was hurt pretty badly. Well, just under three months later, I've got her back. She was finished last week, actually, but I couldn't pick her up until today. I talked to the body shop guy for a while and he apologized for taking so ( Read more... )

Ooo, she is very pretty, especially when I envision her with the vibrant yellow color of the before picture. That little car hiding down the drive way isn't bad either. :)

So I take it that there was no permanent damage to the structure of the car, and it still tracks straight and everything. I'm so glad that repairs were feasible. It's always sad when a car like that one dies, doubly so if you know the owner (I can't even imagine actually being the owner.).

I've only driven it from the shop back to my house, but I think it's all good! No permanent damage.

She is so, so pretty! I'm glad you found a mechanic who put some heart into the repairs. Will you get to drive her for a bit, or is she going to hibernate until spring?

I'll probably take her out occasionally when the weather is particular clear, but she'll be hibernating for the most part. Even when the roads are clear and there's no snow or anything I don't like driving her in the winter because there's no rear defrost and the front whole heating system sucks, so when it's cold out the windshields (front and rear) get all fogged up. It's inconvenient.

Wow! She is beautiful! What model Mustang is that? Damn, the body shop did a very good job. I can't tell from these photos that it has been in an accident at all!

It's a 1965 with a 298 (somewhat modified). The body shop did a very good job, and I'm so happy about it.
