Squee!!!

This is totally exciting!

I don't know if I've told you about my sister and her husband adopting - it's been wonderful for them, and they just adore Josh more than words can say. He's just turned two. They were well on their way through the process for a second adoption but had to put those plans on hold, unfortunately.

If you don't mind some snoopiness:
Do you plan to adopt a particular age? I see Antioch supports cross-ethnic adoptions, do you plan on doing that? How reliable is the time frame - I know Debbie and Bruce had quite a long wait (note: they wanted an infant adoption, a big factor).
So many questions!

Weeellll, we do want a small(ish) child, and are kind of thinking a year or less in age. We'll see. There are other factors besides age to consider, but that is a big one. Gender is not a big issue. Lucian wants a girl, I prefer a boy, but we both would be delighted regardless. I think the time frame is fairly short once we get all our ducks in a row (THAT's the long part - all the preparation and paperwork!). I have a sense it will be a matter of a few months ( ... )
