well, the good news is that I still have my job at the Humane society and I got my raise even if it was a charity donation... the bad and good news is that I turn 30 on May 7th. I'm kind of in a funk about it. I am not worried about my age but dog-gonit! I'm worried that no=one will turn up to fucking celebrate it with me.

thomas' loving moments are somewhat rare, what with all the animals in the house and him being the only cat allowed outside...but he is such a hero in my eyes. The most noble of all cats.

So I did my own taxes and I *think* I'm getting a pretty decent return this year. I am apprehensive because last year, the first time I caluculated my taxes, I had a big return and then rechecked my math and actually wound up owing $1000.
