Okay, I just figured I'd leave a note here because it has a chance of being noticed: I'm handling maintenance full time at the Pentamerone. That means that if something at the Pen needs to be fixed, tell me about it. Don't talk to Bob about it, he does not care. Don't talk to your Librarian about it, he or she does not care (especially if it's ( Read more... )

Damn right I don't care.

My door is squeaky.

Are you seriously making me come next door to slap some WD-40 on a hinge?

Absolutely, I'll get that taken care of next time I swing downstairs.

Would you have me any other way?

Also: did Noah and/or Edwina manage to rope you into the night of Boy Movies? I think there was some mention of costumes. I'll give you several million bonus points if you come dressed as a Bond Girl.

Of course not.

Yes, and you're too late: I already promised Edwina I'd come dressed as Bond. She thinks I'd be a 'super Bond'. And she thinks Noah should come as my hunchbacked arch-nemesis. She's even got a cane for him. Don't think he's going to, though. Shame, isn't it?

Maybe next time.

Aw c'mon! Someone mentioned an orange bikini and you've got the legs for it! Bah. Anyway it should be fun: any excuse to watch as shit gets blown up is fine by me. How long are you in town for?

Full time? Shit. You're brave.

Brave or stupid: only time will tell. But since I haven't got anything else to do with myself, I figured I'd try and help them save the money of hiring a contractor every time something goes wrong since no one seems to know how to use a hammer around here.

I don't think I'd trust half of 'em with a hammer, anyway. They'd break their thumbs. Or worse, put holes in the walls. (Not that lack of hammers really stops property damage, if a person's really set on it.)

Again? Are you sure you didn't just knock the plug out of the wall like you did last time? On purpose?

I'll be by around around 1:30, right after I finish my lunch. A big lunch.

How can I possibly tell? I'm not graced with your natural talent in this arena. How you manage to be both handy and beautiful I'll never know.

Why not come a little earlier and skip lunch? I can throw a little something together to show my gratitude!

It'd be so much more efficient if you just gave up and developed those psychic powers already, George.

Yeah, I'll get right on that.

But hey: if I get psychic powers, do I also get a raise to go with them? Hint hint?

If you do, then use the Force to convince Anser and Elena yes. Then we're all set.
