The Roman Empire saw 100 years of pain for 600 years of total control over half of the planet. Not because everyone agreed with what they were saying or anything. But because thier will was absolute! The people that did not agree with the ideals of that empire were bannished from living within it. And within the Roman Empire were among the best and brightest that any of those eras had to offer. Peace within the Empire was never a question. It was a solid FACT! And the second that a senate that spoke 'for the people' became powerful enough to hold any sway. The empire collapsed like so much Connect Four when you reset the game.

People MUST be governed and they do NOT possess the common sense to do it themselves. Individually, perhaps. But not as a mob. Democracy is failing faster than a black kid at an ivy league school and idiotic mobs protesting against a greater power are to blame.

I really do honestly hope that the President of this nation is a complete moron. The reason for this strang-sounding hope is that if he is not retarded, he is simply heartless, calculating, greedy, bigoted, racist, sexist, and war-mongering.

However, based upon his academic past, perhaps we can all rest well knowing that we have elected a brainless waste to lead the most powerful nation in the world.
