Just so no one worries {sorry, maybe I am late for that!} I went on vacation to see the lovely Mali Wane, and when I got home MOUNTAINS of work had piled up on me. I am digging my way out, and I have lots of pictures to post about, but work has to come first.

This is the baby blanket I was having the trouble with the other day. You can see I was able to rip out the color ALMOST seamlessly. I really liked how it turned out, and I gave it to the mom to be this morning, and she LOVED it. The baby's name is Athena, and the mom was QUITE delighted that I made an owl tag for the gift. :)

I am making a baby blanket, in a pretty simple pattern. I really like it so far, I'm using several skeins of sort of watercolor colors. Anyway, now that I am nearly done with it, I started a new skein of yarn, and knit many rows of it, only to find out it's just not the SAME. A wonderful day {even though it is oddly raining} We usually have sunny weather for my birthday, but if it's not sunny it's usually snowing. Rain seems odd this time of year.

Our little cockatiel, Speedy, passed away last night. He was nearly 24 years old, and that is a VERY long life for a cockatiel.

My nephew posted a picture of a very funny baby hat on his facebook, and then I fell in love with it, but I don't crochet, so I grabbed some yarn and ran it over to my niece's house, hoping some day she would make one.
