My camera doesn't usually do a great job of capturing sunsets, but the one yesterday was so brilliant even I was able to get a nice shot. The only editing I did on this was crop out a bit of the roof of my shop.

I finished the hat I made with the lovely yarn that smutcutter spun for me. I didn't have quite enough yarn for the tassels, so I used some stormy grey fancy yarn I had on hand.

I finished the hat for my neice, and even though I hated the pattern {written by someone who had JUST learned to knit, and missing about 1/2 of the relevant info} I really like the hat!

I am going to make myself one, using that gorgeous handspun yarn from smutcutter. I'm very excited about that!

The weather, not sunny at ALL, has at least been a bit interesting. We had the hugest snowflakes last night and this morning, I mean snowball size flakes. And wind with gusts in the 60mph's. Warm gusts, so all that snow is melting ( Read more... )

We got to watch Miss Lyra last night, and I had to get a picture of this funny little hat. One of my sister's in-law's made it when she heard that Donna was a Great Aunt. We love it, it makes Lyra look like a little old lady.

I came home last night, and there was a package on my doorstep. Whatever could it be?

I opened it and you should have heard the girly squeeing. Hand spun yarn! Thank you so much Sonny! I love it, and I got a new hat pattern for christmas that I was dying to try, and this yarn is so perfect for it.
