I wonder what it's like to have a real friend. Someone I could tell what I'm feeling without being judged or, worse yet, having that person be indifferent to it ( Read more... )

My Scoot-sense must have been tingling, because this is the first time I've been here in a few weeks.

If you cannot count on your wife as a friend, then yes, it is difficult to find those good, real friends. I don't have one either beyond Julie...

And I like Adam's idea actually. Why not start a podcast? Talk about your issues. you are not alone. The audience will find you, and you may very well find that true friend through there.

And btw, you are the only friend from the old group that I regularly communicate with.

As good as that sounds, if I have a hard time getting people I know to listen or talk to me how am I going to get people I don't know to?

No. It goes back to the first question I asked. How do I get people to listen to me in a audio blog when I can't get anyone to listen to me now.

You have a larger audience when you distribute to everyone, rather than just the circle you know. The odds are with you that you'd find an audience.

I still think it's a good idea and worth pursuing. Better to try, then stop, then never to try and not know. At least you can say, "I did" instead of "I wanted to."

I was reading back through the last three years of my journal and the comments left. I found that you had been a very good friend and a very big help during those awful times. SO I wanted to say thank you so much for being there! THings are better and you all were right when you said that things would get better and TOm wouldn't be on my mind so much...:)
You will always have a friend in me...:)

Love
Kat

I'm glad things are better for you, Kat. Time has a tendency to heal all things one way or another.

Take care,
Scott
