I will start answering your questions now.
Please remember that if I do choose to answer your question, you will most likely not enjoy the answer. I suggest you look at some ponies instead.

If you wish, you may direct questions to my siblings as well.

Do you think that Jim Carrey made Olaf too likeable/funny?

Are you offended by how funny everyone found the film?

I thought that Mr. Carrey made am unnerving Count Olaf, which is good, because Count Olaf is a rather unnerving man. In reality he is less funny and more intimidating, but Mr. Carrey is primarily a comic actor himself.

I myself did not find the movie funny at all. In fact, I wept all the way through it the first time I saw it. And the second time. And the third.

My Dear Lemony, I have five questions, and I shall number them to make them easier to answer.

1. If you gather research about the Baudelaires by going back to the places they visited and gathering evidence and interviewing witnesses, it makes that you konw what they did and what happened to them while they were in those locations, but how is it possibly that you know exactly what they said to each other, especially when they were alone ( ... )

I have not recieved gifts in a very long time, and even if you were to try to send me one, it would most likely not reach me, as I am constantly on the run. However, if you feel you must contact me, you may do so through my publisher, HarperCollins. The address is at my website ( ... )

Actually, her parents gave her to the three good fairies until she came of age so that she would be out of danger and never know about the curse. If anyone was foolish in the situation, it was probably her parents.

By the way, I'm assuming you hate me because you skipped that question, I sent you a teddy bear through HarperCollins. I hope you like it. You can hug when you feel sad. ;_;

Oh, you are so totally going to ignore me, aren't you?
That wasn't a question. That question mark was a LIE.

Okay.

What is your favourite soft drink?

Was sniffing chemicals "in" for quite some time? This is the only thing I can think of to explain Esme Squalor.

Don't you liiiike my drawings?

My favorite soft drink is Dr. Pepper.

And I can't think of any way to explain Esme Squalor's actions. All I can say is that she's a horrible woman who's attracted to a horrible man, and together they have done many horrible things.

I knew you liked Dr. Pepper!

I still think it's chemicals. Or possibly interpretive dance involving slamming one's head against the wall.

Thank you very much for answering some of my questions, Mr. S!

Kit and Jacques! I love you guys too, so here is a dumb question:

What are your favourite cartoon characters?

Reply

snicketsiblings January 18 2005, 19:35:29 UTC
Well, I'm starting to like The Cheat, thanks to that link you sent me.

I've always loved the Cheshire Cat, although that's not so much a cartoon character as a literary figure who was translated into a cartoon character by a team of animators and a director.

And The Brave Little Toaster, of course - that's a given.

I'm glad I could corrupt you :D
The Cheshire Cat did rock hardcore. That's the only thing I remember about Disney's Alice in Wonderland.

Hello again. That took longer than I thought it would. *is holding a tray but it's covered with a cloth*

I know I asked you a question yesterday, but if it's a follow-up question, I imagine you won't mind.

And the follow-up question is: *takes cloth off the tray* Will you try the raisin scones I made for you and your sister?

I'm wasn't sure if your brother can eat scones but if he can, there's some for him too.

Oh, my! How kind of you. It's been a long time since I had a scone that wasn't either poisoned or part of an elaborate code or both.

That's so sad. Maybe I'll have to make you scones on a regular basis.

Of course we'll try them, how very thoughtful of you!

I don't know if you know this, but we Volunteers are very fond of our food. Usually because recipies are good ways to leave encoded messages, but also because ... well, who doesn't like food?
