Okay, my question is regarding something you said "The Wide Window." When you went off on a tangent about stealing, you said that stealing is very impolite, but if you have very little money and are very hungry, it might be okay to steal a painting to eat.
Now . . . I'm not one to judge, but I was just wondering if you or someone you know enjoys paintings for reasons other than the aesthetic aspects?
Are you implying that I have, at some point, consumed a painting for nourishment?
Fortunately, the answer - if I'm right in interpreting your question - is no. I was trying, rather, to be humorous. I've been told that I can be quite depressing.
I would actually not suggest eating a painting if you are very hungry and very poor, because often paint contains toxic chemicals which could make you very ill. Plus, they don't contribute nicely to the overall flavor.
And canvas is hard to chew.
Um... I know all this from the research I've done, of course, not from actual experience.
