The kitten now weighs 8 & 1/4 pounds and is about 7 months old. Standing next to Roosevelt, she is almost taller and longer. And, she has man-paws.

I made a sad discovery last night. At some point when I moved from Houston to Austin, I lost my very first photo album. I started it when I was in elementary school,and it went through middle school, and stopped around 9th grade. It was huge, with about 1,000 pictures in it. I don't understand where it could have gone...but it's definitely gone

...is now officially "home".

I've been trying to shake a cough all week. Instead, it has come to full fruition in the form of a bronchial infection with a side of fever. I managed to make it to the doctor this afternoon and home with a full bag of prescriptiony goodness, a cocktail of antibiotics, cough syrup, nasal spray, allergy pills, and a boot to the head. Do any of you wonderful Austinites have any info/input on the developing landscape of East Austin? I'm thinking of possibly renting or buying something to rehab there, but the area still seems a bit rough....and I'm just not up for risking my life and limb to do such a thing. Any and all thoughts or opinions would be helpful!
