Oh lordy, we can only hope! Karma, my dear - I have faith that Karma will have its way someday. Hopefully in the form of a huge intimidating inmate at some random prison who takes a liking to his butt. LOL

It's amazing how you never think it can happen to you, until all of a sudden you're blind sided one day.

I know the order of protection I got in Chicago is valid for two years, and when I refiled it here they said to let them know if an extension was going to be needed. I don't think it's difficult to get the order extended - especially when I start receiving cryptic messages that exactly fit the pattern from the first round of harassment.

Thanks for the support. No one should ever have to deal with this stuff...

This is just so appalling, but your actions and responses are confident, direct and comprehensive - especially about making sure as many people know about this as possible and shining a spotlight on this individual. Thank you for the list of characteristics etc- I find that my life is really enhanced by friendships of all kinds and am always very open to making new friends, especially locally in my village- but I will have somewhere at the back of my mind all these things.. as well as trusting my instincts- but I guess we all know, sometimes instinct isn't enough.

It's amazing how it can totally blind-side you. My parents raised two pretty strong daughters, but this came out of nowhere when I was in a vulnerable spot (when my Mom's health began to fail). These people are predators - they see someone who's at a weak point, and they prey on that person. I never thought something like that would happen to me, but I've definitely learned some strong lessons from this.

I know that he can't physically get to me. I'm not worried about it. And I'll see what I have to do to make the order of protection permanent. Plus that goes on his record, so anything he does in the future, it'll be known that he's a previous stalker. This will only come back to bite him in the ass. I'm not worried about it. Exposure is the best thing - expose the idiot for what he is...

Some people are just idiots and have no life outside trying to ruin other people's lives.

Thanks. :) I can always use a hug. :)
