There are so many things I could point to and say, "Yes. This. This right here." Your writing always hits that emotional realism for me, and the characters are just short of climbing out of the screen and acting it out in front of me(but if you could make that happen, though, I'd really dig it. Thx).
One of the things I've always loved about the "Inarticulate" series is the way you balance Laura's absolute, utter denial of there being anything more than physical chemistry between her and Bill, and her unconscious actions and decisions betraying her at every point. So, to see you working on that theme again (and for 8 more chapters!) totally made my night. Seriously.
Ok, first off...that graphic? PWNS ALL. I am humbled.

That is such a lovely thing to say. I worked really hard to try to keep this story as true to character as I could manage. I hope it continues to resonate for you. And if there was a way to get this story acted out...Let's just say I would be a very, very happy girl. :D
It made me smile that you mentioned my "Inarticulate" series. In a way, this story is the Sideways-word version of it. When this story began to get longer and longer, I found that I started incorporating all of my notes and ideas for things that I had wanted to write for future installments of Inarticulate. So in a bizarre way, this is the continuation of it...except in a very similar universe.
I'm really touched, I hope you continue to enjoy it.
I'm so happy you finally posted this frakkin thing.
:) Though I'm both happy and sad. I'm really going to miss it. But it's time to let it go.
Thank you so much for the help you gave me with this story. I'm interested to see what you think of the changes I made. And I'm so touched that you enjoyed it. :)

And I'm even happier to see you're getting the fanfare you deserve for putting your heart and soul into this story.
This is one of the lines I've kept with me since I read it:
Kara’s death had devastated him. Hers would destroy him.
So sad, so true. So real.
