Today is the best date to commemorate that I've ever had.
After a decade of self-destructive slavery, I quit smoking one year ago today.

My life is unrecognizable from what it was then.
And that's a good thing.

I'm nervous on how people are going to react - I just came out of the blog-set to my boss, now he knows about my other, more interesting blog.
And he also knows about my gronky, not done spankin' new homepage, as well.

I've already had to go back through and edit the privacy on a post - which was a shame, 'cause it was one I rather liked.

Rush Limbaugh's latest comment - that Gen. Colin Powell's endorsement of Sen. Obama, is all about race is misleading in ascribing this motive to General Powell. If I am not mistaken, I arrived in Los Angeles to attend the University of Southern California ten years ago today. Here’s to a decade in and out of love and trouble with this beautifully godforsaken place.
Even when I lived other places, I still considered it home.

Ray Ray McElrathby was a running back at Clemson University. He made headlines a couple years ago when he got very unusual permission from the NCAA to set up a trust and take donations for the support of his 11 year old brother, after he became his brother's guardian while his mother fought her drug problems.
