My great aunt’s funeral is on the 17th, it’s a Tuesday. I feel odd about it. But as I sit and think about it, I do feel a little sad that she’s not going to be around for me to tell I finished my degree program. I decided to cut out my homework to do list! At this point I should know what I’m doing. That aside, it’s become a chore. I don’t want to deal with it, so, I’m not going too! HAH. Actually it was very relieving to erase it. I wasn’t keeping track of assignments with it anymore. I thought it best to just delete it.

Oh man! I finished my phonemic awareness lesson with one of my students (we made a train). Now I just need to work with the other, which I’m going to do tomorrow. I’m contemplating cutting out the pieces for the train since it seems like it would be a lot easier for me to do it than it would be for the students (lack of motor control). Last night Cherri and I decided that we would read Grimm’s Fairy Tales. I read a story aloud, and then she reads one aloud (we read several stories a night and we get a break for a little while the other is reading). And we want to do this every night until we finish it. Sometimes I feel like a huge jerk when I try to explain my feelings to other people. Maybe I get too emotional and maybe I don’t articulate well enough. I worried about my action plan. A classmate asked for an example before I could. I’ve done action plans before! I feel a lot more confident about it now; I just need to get confirmation on what standards I need to use (Arizona or California).
