The other day I received in the mail the Picatrix: Liber Aratus Edition, as translated and edited by John Michael Greer and Christopher Warnock. And while I haven't finished reading it, I do have some observations.

So... I'm preparing for my impending pilgrimage/hike. And while I'm not Catholic, nor particularly Christian (in the conventional sense), I've decided that, for the sake of the pilgrimage and it's part in European Christendom, I would prepare myself in the spirit of "when in Rome ( Read more... ) -
surrender to the walk
Today while doing my training walk for the Camino, reflecting upon many of the conversations in which I've been involved, I realized that I had been resisting the walk. Nanowrimo success
Well. I pulled it off. I managed to reach down into my twisted psyche and regurgitate some 50,000 words (50,411 to be precise) of a novel.
Not that what I have is fit for public consumption - but it may yet get there.
Now, where are those laurels? I need to sit down. -
