Breaking news: Got the Ph.D. this past Thursday. It has taken two days to really begin to recover, presentation anxiety on top of the broken back healing process. But it is .Done. I have reached grade 21 and I have finally completed my desire to be schooled

Thanks, all very surreal. But what they say about the defense, it being actually fun, is true. One of the most fun presentations I have had to do, mostly because by god you are engaged during your defense. A-game and all that.

regarding bioinformatics jobs, have you checked out the ISB (systemsbiology.org)? I seem to recall them having a position last time I was looking. It sounds like an amazing place to work.
