Duck, Duck, DUCK!

Whoo, I got a duck! It was a nice little green teal. Only one out of a potential bag limit of seven, but there were only five ducks within range this morning, and I was the only one in our blind to bag a duck. We drew an unlucky blind given this morning's wind direction. I only took six or seven shots all morning

The whole SeasonShot thing got me wondering--did you need to run a metal detector over the bird? Or were the pellets pretty obvious? What loads were you using--12 ga #8 or something?

Yay! Congrats! Do you have a hunting group? Have you done it for long? Obviously I grew up around it, but I haven't been out hunting since I was too young to do it!
