I know that I am odd, and have some funny ways, but for this evenings meal I fancy a mug full of birdseye pettit pois, heated up gently in the micro for a minute or two, just enough to get them steaming, then adding a noggin of genuine lurpak butter then turning that into a sandwich :)

Two good things have happened today, the first is the near completion of the diesel generator that I have been working on, and off for the last couple of months. It now runs happily with any load up to (so far) 2kw. It did take a while to get the gear ratio correct, I used a too smaller pulley on the alternator to begin with, I would have liked to ( Read more... )

E.F was the cats whiskers, I had loads of fun, loads of sleep and met many new friends, and hugged many of the good furiends that I already know.
However, I must have slept for ten hours last night without waking up at all. It is so nice to be in my own bedding again.

I have been working on the volvo this morning, the front brake sliders on the calipers (tend) to seize up after a couple of years IF I do not apply a coating of copper grease on them, I strip them every year as a precaution and re-grease accordingly. I hope to check the rear brakes either this afternoon, or perhaps in the morning.

I suddenly awoke this morning just after 2 am with a short but very loud roar in my bedroom. I heard the echo all around the house and thought what the hell was that ?
I do not have any pets in the house or any wild animals.
Am I losing it or what ??
