Just for the record, being in the flat at the moment is great. Everybody gets on, nobody's stressed, the washing up doesn't get done but that doesn't seem to matter anymore, when it really did 2 months ago, and you go down for a cup of tea and get distracted for an hour. I like to think that I was the proverbial glue that stuck all the tiny little proverbial shards of your shattered flat dynamic back together again so you could all live in peace and proverbial harmony until the end of term.

I also like to think that maybe one day I'll actually complete a Sudoku that isn't Easy or Medium.

Well done on the whole flat situation, which evidently I had nothing whatsoever to do with. Apart from providing you with some rum that tastes like anus. Bumhole-flavoured rum would bring the most fraught of families together...

I think you did your proverbial bit, don't you proverbially worry.

The trick with the sudoku is not to waste time filling in all the possibilities in the corners. It doesn't help, and there'll always be something you can work out straight off. At least with the Hard ones.

We're getting taken out for some slap up nosh on our birthday (I sound more and more like Dad every day). Where do you think we should demand?
