115. Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets by J.K. Rowling.

116. Triptych by Karin Slaughter. Slaughter switches things up in this book, moving from Grant County to Atlanta and introducing a whole new batch of characters, and doing it in such a way as to keep the reader pretty seriously off-balance. Difficult to say too much about the new folks without giving a lot of plot away, but this is one to pay close attention to. It has Slaughter's trademark horrific violence, though much of that comes late in the book, by which time I found myself unable to stop reading. At this point Slaughter is one of my favorite crime novelists.
