More frequent commentary than usual
My sister's right. The big problem for me is that I miss living in a college town. There aren't enough people near my own age about in the streets of Morrisville, night or day, for me to talk with. Huh. A town public library that's open until 7:30 two nights a week. Strange, yet convenient. In town tonight, obviously. Had some shopping to do this afternoon, and thought I'd do supper at the Bee's Knees. This was classic, though perhaps not quite as good as the earlier one with Clinton...what's creepy is that some of Tina Fey's responses are verbatim ones I've actually heard Palin use.

I was gonig to do a big write-up regarding the live show I saw and CD I bought at Bee's Knees on Saturday, because the duo known as "Jeff and Benares" is astounding. Morrisville is interesting. Not as great as say, downtown Bratt, but still an interesting place to wander through. Today I went down what looked to be a bike path or something, which took me past a collapsed building of some kind and a dam across the river--I'm thinking hydro for the town's power supply--and eventually led, with no apparent reason ( Read more... ) -
Life Takes Some Unexpected Turns
So, to begin with, Morrisville is not exactly what I'd hoped. I was really anticipating a very Brattleboro-like selection of stores for some reason. There is very little to the downtown, and a lot of the buildings are empty and their paint peeling off. Signs of the times ( Read more... ) -

Tonight was my first try at making sweet and sour sauce.
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup red wine vinegar
Boil the fuck out of it. Add some prepared honey mustard and stir. I can vouch for its tastiness on beets and corn.
