REVEALLING THE TRUTH
Yesterday, while doing the dishes Yuuki suddenly collapsed and need to be taken to the hospital. Yuya called me at work to let me know what happened and I tried to meet him there as soon as I can.
As I entered the room, I saw IV hooked on Yuuki's arms and an oxygen tank next to his bed. I wanted to know what happened but Yuya is not on his right state of mind as he just stares at his brother with tears in his eyes.
So I tried to talk with the doctor in charge but he won't give me an answer saying its better if either one of the brothers will tell me what's really happening.
So I bid my time and waited for Yuya to talk to me. It's been 2 days and I'm a bit worried to the point that I wanted to start shaking the younger one to get some answers but seems like I don't need to do that.
"Aki chan, do you mind if I talk to you for a while" he asked as I enter the room after my work. Yuuki was peacefully sleeping, so we try to lower our voices so that he won't be bother with his sleep.
So we stepped out of the room and headed towards the cafeteria and again we ordered the same coffee and an uncomfortable silence engulf us. I'm about to open my mouth when Yuya suddenly spoke."Do you know why I treat Yuuki the way I treat him?" He asked
"You mean being over protective and so fusing about him?" I answered then he nod his head
"No. And honestly sometimes I feel jealous about it." I truthfully answered and with this comment he gave me a weird look.
"It is because I feel that you can take good care of him better than me, his partner" I softly replied
"That's not possible" he answered "you're the reason why he's healthier." another answer that confuses me even more.
"Please Yuya, stop giving puzzling comments that makes my head swirl with thousand questions. Just tell me what's really going on? Why do you wanna talk to me?"
Seems I cornered him there, so he let out a huge sigh before saying "Please don't hate me or most especially my brother with what I will tell you.”
This made my heart beat furiously fast, what's that suppose to mean? But I nod my head and stare intently at him, waiting for what he have to say.
"I mean it when I said that we want to make the most out of our time together"
"What are you talking about? I can't seem to follow you?" I confusedly asked.
"Aki chan please don't tell this to Yuuki, this... what I'll be telling you. I love him so much that I don't want to see him sad" he blabbered while staring at his hands
"Ok, I promise. Please get to the point" I feel myself almost begging cause the tone of his voice give me a heavy feeling
"Alright..." he then averted his gaze and look at me straight in the eye. And this made me even more uneasy
"He's dying Aki chan" I feel as if a cold bucket of water was splash over me "He has leukemia"
