Yet another 1stclass_kink prompt, this one my first foray into non-crack/fluff. And instead we have the most over-the-top emo angsty h/c... yay?

I really enjoyed writing this. Who knew? I still stay loyal to my crack, though.

Argh, this is amazing. Have you posted any of your stuff on http://erik-charles.livejournal.com/? If not, I'm sure everyone there would love to read all your stories - stuff this good deserves as big an audience as possible!

I love how Erik is unknowlingly so cruel. And you describe Charles' suffering wonderfully. I can really see him all curled up in the corner. Poop pup. :(

Also, Erik To The Rescue! I love it when that happens. ^.^' And he has all reason to be contrite and tender.

And: "But Erik wasn't his. He'd forgotten, for a moment." Break my heart, why don't you? *wail*

Yep, I love Erik to the rescue too! Isn't it awful how we all love to see them suffer so they can hug each other afterwards?

Oh god, what a nightmare. The fear and loneliness and despair in this -- being trapped by his own thoughts, cut off like an amputation -- are vivid and horribly effective. And Erik's horror and guilt when he realises what he's done, and the fact that Charles forgives him because he didn't know and didn't mean to -- bloody hell, how is it that my heart's breaking and mending at the same time?! Fantastically done, painful and quite terrifying. Well done X(

Hey there! It's so nice of you to drop by again and READ ALL THE THINGS. I'm sorry to break your heart with this one - I feel awful doing that to Charles because, yeah, not nice feelings. But at least he has Erik to pull him out of it. It could have been a whole lot worse.

I'm interested that you used the word 'amputation'. I don't know if it comes across in the fic, but in my head this Charles needs other minds for his own thoughts to function the way they should. So it really is like having part of his brain cut away, and having to live with the damage.
