today out of boredom (christian's had an unusual, yet amazing 2 hr nap) i decided to go through my lj archive and read entries from back in 2002. i can't believe i've been journaling for over 5 years. crazy

I identify COMPLETELY with you. Especially the point when 5 years ago, I was dreaming about being married and starting a family. And now that I have that, I really miss the freedom of not having someone rely on me 24/7. I'm sure when Josh is a teenager, I'll miss the days when he loves me and only me completely.
BTW, I miss carrying a REAL bag too! What's your diaper bag like?? (I see now why some people buy a Coach diaper bag!)
yes...having someone relying on me 24/7 is really taxing, but at the same time, i can't imagine him NOT needing me anymore. that will be a sad day.
before i had christian, i was very close to buying a coach diaper bag, but i'm so glad i didn't. it was a leather shoulder bag and with carrying his car seat and keys...there's no way i'd have the patience to carry something over my shoulder. messenger style is the only way to go! a backpack would even work.
i sometimes hate myself for not being able to just fully appreciate my life. like you, back when i was single (and much more angry--certainly NOT just a mere persona!), all i wanted was to get married and settle down. now that that's a reality, i can't help but miss certain things about my single life as well--randomly spending the night at a gf's house (who the heck does that after they get married??), watching DVDs all the live long day, being able to eat whatever i want, whenever i want, however i want, etc.
