long version of the birth story.
on tuesday (may 31) I started having contractions at about 3-ish in the afternoon. we timed a few and called the midwife, who told us to time for a whole hour and call her back. by 4:15 they were 6-9 minutes apart and 30 seconds. she said she'd come out but i said I'd feel bad if she made the trip for nothing, so she said to take a hot bath and if ( Read more... ) -
finally finally finally!!!
germaine started to crawl on saturday! kinda weird one knee, one foot crawling, but she's doing it. last night she actually got on both knees, so I figure it won't be long until she's cruising around.. a bit of a late bloomer in this respect, but she's much happier playing with toys by herself now that she is mobile! -

Germaine's birthday is one month from today.. when did my baby get so old???
she's really becoming more and more intelligent.. I mean, figuring things out, imitating us, playing games, talking. she has a handful of words... her new one (as of last night) being WOW. -
weird birth dream
last night I dreamt I had the baby. it was may 10 in the dream (earlier than i'm expecting...) about 7 pm, I started having contractions so i called the midwife, and then fell asleep. first tooth! it broke through on sunday--feb 20th. yay! at 9 months old, that's a little behind the game, but I guess not too bad. I've heard worse.
