Oooh, this is stunning! Letter-form is a tough thing to write, I always think, yet you did it with aplomb. Some of the passages here read more like poetry. The beginning paragraph had me hooked and nodding, and I enjoyed it through. As always, you have such skill in your writing, it is always a pleasure.
This is beautiful! I love the descriptions. And like keppie said, it works as a letter, but it also has a sense of poetry about it... a flow of words that just carries the reader right along.
As usual, your description and voice is really great. I loved the letter format, even though I usually dislike it, and I really thoroughly enjoyed the entire story -- I was, like Keppie, hooked from the beginning! :)
I am reminded of this awesome webcomic. And, when I can remember the name of it, I will mention it to you. It's about a boy and a girl who can only see each other in their dreams - takes place in the 1930s, good stuff.

Was it Dreamless illustrated by Sarah Ellerton? Because I was all over that and am quite sad it's over.
