[Sealed to Chloe]
I need to go to the forest. You don't have to come with if you don't want to. [He leaves 'but please come' unspoken.]
[Sealed to Alex]
Time for a Change. Gonna be out in the forest and on the grounds for the next while, if you feel like going for a run or something.
[After Changing, Derek can be found wandering around the

Bending is really the only thing worth doing around here.
She's made herself a nice little hollow in the ground and is now busy gradually building up stones around it to make a neat little stone tent.
Once, she'd've been able to do this all in one move, but she's been wary of overreaching since that whole wall thing.
Still, even she's not so preoccupied that she doesn't noticed the padding paws of a big something nearby.
Toph sits up.]

So he heads towards her, approaching slowly enough to make his arrival obvious, tail high and wagging slightly as he makes a soft whoofing noise.]

It's whoofing.
Toph gathers her feet under her, tense just in case it leaps. Did it come out of the forest? She extends a hand in a half-ready bending posture, but also in a kind of greeting.
If this thing's some kind of spirit animal like a badger-mole or something, then it could just want to say hello. And if not, she'll whoop it's butt.]
What do you want?

So he plops down close to her, the picture of ease as he sits there, wagging his tail.
Derek tilts his head at her, because, yeah, he can't answer that, though he does give another soft whoof. Hi, Toph.]

In her wandering she stumbles upon a massive wolf. Like MASSIVE massive wolf Crap. She freezes, hoping it won't notice her. At least she wasn't wearing a red hood.]
Reply
When he catches her looking at him, he tilts his head at her and wags his tail.
See. Look how friendly he is. Zero need for freaking out here.]

Nice doggie, good doggie
[Her tones is hesitant]

But Derek's actively trying to look harmless, so it's the result he's going for.
He pads closer to her, sitting down next to her and giving his tail another wag. It's a lot friendlier than he'd ever be in human form - he pretty much has to, if he doesn't want to scare people or have them thinking he's aggressive. That, and it's easier to be friendly as a wolf. Even stupid people understand a wagging tail.]

He's still not sure if he wants to go in when he spots the wolf, at first mistaking it for a similarly coloured wolf he met earlier. He smiles.*
Hey there, I bet you spend a lot of time in there.
Reply
So he's somewhat surprised when the guy smiles and talks to him. He tilts his head, blinking at him, then goes with it and nods.
He is usually in there when he changes, anyway.]

It looks like a big place, well, probably not as big as a lot forests, but bigger than I expected to see here. Well, I didn't expect to see any here, but...you know what I mean. Its bigger than most by human habitation, though I guess I'm not sure how much this place actually counts as that.
*He shrugs and scratches his head, then turns back to the wolf.*
Is it nice in there? Easy to get lost? I'm not sure if I want to check it out yet or not.

Of course, he's got no way of communicating that. But then it doesn't matter, since the guy starts talking about actually going into the forest, and that's much more important.
Derek looks back at him, giving a soft whine and shaking his head. Not a good idea, heading in there. Not alone, anyway.]

And this time Zeke isn't afraid of getting eaten!]
There must be a whole pack of ya around here somewhere, huh?
Reply
His tail wags slightly when he spots Zeke, because he likes Zeke well enough, his confusion about how to treat this Zeke aside.
He blinks at the question, though, and shifts one shoulder in the equivalent of a shrug. Not that he knows about, anyway. He's only caught the scent of one other wolf here, though now he's slightly worried he's missed some.]

I'm pretty sure th'other one was female.
[Why is he even talking to the dog.
And why hasn't he realized the shifter thing yet?]
Reply
He gives a bit of a wolfy grin at that comment, amused. Yeah, he's definitely not female.
Also, he has no idea why you're talking to the dog either, man. Derek assumes he's figured out the shifter thing.]
Reply
So when she spots the other wolf she stops dead in her tracks, nostrils flared. She's never seen another wolf here, certainly not one BIGGER then her. So, then, this must be another shifter, since normal wolves, even males, are smaller then her.
Wolf remains where she is, but sits, not wanting to appear threatening but not quite sure how to react at this point.]

But a quick scenting of the air proves that this isn't Duran - the fact that she even has a scent is proof enough, really - and he relaxes slightly. He's still obviously uncomfortable, though. He's caught her scent around before, the rare times he'd actually left his room since that whole zombie disaster, but he doesn't know what to do with another wolf shifter.
The only wolves he's met before were pretty intent on killing him.
He continues towards her anyway, though, because he can't help being curious, body language wary but obviously not aggressive.]

It's weird to see another lycanthrope shifter, here, especially one bigger then herself, but she doesn't plan on showing that.
When he gets closer Wolf stands in order to approach as well, scenting him and the air around him, tail still wagging somewhat.]
Reply
Derek stands still, though, letting her close the distance as he watches her curiously.]
