I completely loved this second chapter! I really liked how their relationship grew stronger through the time and that Ianto is in some way, Jack's life outside the Hub, like his chance at something resembling normality. Can't wait for more!

I love the evolution of of their relationship and how you've woven it thru canon. Wonderful job! Yay! Early post! Loved this chapter and the development of their relationship, which highlights Ianto's unique abilities separate from Jack's even with Jack being a part of his life in every aspect. He has become Jack's touchstone in every significant way. I love how he realizes how he feels about his foster family -- because loving your family is not something you think about actively; it is a part of you -- like breathing. And, Myfanwy, Susie, Tosh, Owen........gwen. I am really looking forward to the next chapter.

Jack and Ianto's relationship was so much fun to write, especially since I was taking it from a sort of familial, Jack-looking-out-for-Ianto deal, to a more equal relationship from which they could eventually become lovers. Jack's been pushing Ianto to excel from the start, and Ianto knows he owes his success to Jack - and so he uses those skills he's gained to help Jack out, and so they start relying on each other, and, well... *shrugs* I really think that in this situation, they couldn't not have become lovers. *grins*
