You must have installed a programm called I-Pod Updater (It came with i-tunes and all the stuff on the CD). Run it :D Than choose option "update i-pod" or whatever it's called. It has to format the pod. Than you plug you player into a charging wire, than plug it back to computer again.
I've got some really big magnets here that would probably do the job!
If that fails, I also have the plans for a decent electromagnetic pulse generator (EMP) that would wipe it good! (and everything else in a ten metre radius)
