Taiwanese Father's Day
I was on the phone with mi padre this morning and he let me know that today is "Taiwanese Father's Day." In Taiwanese, "ba-ba" means "daddy." In Chinese, "ba" means "eight." Chiho Aoshima
P.S. By request, here is some artwork from one of my favorite artists at the Red Hot Asian exhibit. Her name is Chiho Aoshima. She did the one of the fairyish sculpture and also the five-panel animation. I'll take some pictures of the actual exhibit next week. I think she is quickly becoming one of my favorite contemporary artists.
