No, I'm with you -- kindness inspires kindness, and it does often get paid forward in unexpected ways.

It's one of the pillars of my personal belief system, honestly -- and I'm still learning and finding myself humbled and awed on a regular basis.

And being mindful of that helps fend off despair at the cruelties of the world.

Very true. And it's not like any of this is new, but articulating and formalizing it while observing a long-running test case is. It's... something good to have to have in the notebook, I think, to refer to.
