My parents live in a cave

Seriously. My parents home is a black hole for communication possibilities. At best, they have a landline and a very spotty dial-up internet connection. It took me 20 minutes just to coax the computer to get online today. It will be a miracle if this post makes it to my journal ( Read more... )

She is a general music teacher is the public school system. She works mostly with elementry children these days, although she used to work with junior high students as well.

Haha, GATTACA. I got extra credit in 10th grade Biology class for going to see that movie. And for realizing that the title is a DNA sequence itself. I liked it.

I think it's funny that your parents have dial-up, but a massive DVD library. That seems incongruent.

well, it's quite simple really. If the DVD is $9.99, they will buy it. And, they can't actually get any other type of internet connection. We live in "the sticks", so nothing else is available to us. We can't even get cable, so we have Direct TV instead. And they didn't even get that til I was out of the house. Bummer.
