Hailey Mae was born May 1st, at 3:29pm. She weighed 7lbs. 7oz. and was 19 1/2 in. long. Good sized baby for 2 weeks early!!!

On this Memorial Day I wanted to pass along something that I heard Friday on the radio. So many holdiays have lost their meaning and this day is no different. I find it very sad how many people dont even know what this day is for other than a day of sales and BBQs. My mom called a little bit ago to tell me she had bad news.....my bassett hound died last night. She hasnt been feeling to good this past week and my mom was going to call the vet today but they found her this morning. Our Akita was standing next to her licking her face....so heartbreaking! Five years ago today the hubby and I first got together! Who could have guessed the journey we would go on together....married, a deployment, unaccompanied tour, many moves cross country, bought our first house, and now trying for a baby. I cant believe it  is already 2007!! This time last year I was days away from our homecoming and now I have an entire year looming in front of us again and its another New Year without him. Well, Christmas is finally over! Now to get through New Year's and hopefully we will be smooth sailing! So I got up and drove all the way out to Stewart today...like 40 miles...so I could drop our claim off at Transportation and get a paper for registering the cars at JAG and stupid Transportation was closed!! So I was watching one of those entertainment news shows on E! and now I am beyond annoyed! Matt Damon made a comment in an interview with CNN I think it was, saying that if we (our country) makes the decision to go to war, that everyone should have to participate.
