Wow it's been a really long time since I've written in here. Fortunately, not much has happened in my life. I have a paid job until the end of May, which means I'll hopefully have only one month with no pay. It would also give me the month of June to clean out my apartment and pack. I've started freaking out a little about the move because I have a ( Read more... )

Marriage of one or both parents is a HUGE deal to kids.

I know Echo thinks that if either her dad or I get married we'll have babies and forget all about her. She used to want siblings, but she's a bit beyond that at this point, and now claims she will eat the baby if either of us have one. Kids don't like change, they like stability and things to be the same.

Yeah, I agree, but Phil just can't seem to understand how Sophia might be having any issues with it. They finally decided not to force her to wear a dress, which is great because she *despises* them, but they still expect her to be IN the wedding ( ... )

Thanks! I love the coil, too. The only problem is that I can't stop playing with it haha.

I think I've finally gotten through to Sophia's dad. He's decided not to force her to be *in* the wedding, and I think he understands how she feels better now. The good thing is that Sophia *loves* her future step-mom, and she and Phil have been living together for quite a long time. So everyday reality won't change much, but that doesn't mean the actual wedding wouldn't cause her anxiety.

I have a feeling Sophia will have a much bigger problem with ME getting married (if that ever happens) since we're so close and she's used to having me all to herself.
