The first of many pre-NaNo writing challenges will start this Friday, Sept. 11 at noon your local time, and end Sunday, Sept. 13 at midnight your local time. Sign up for a goal of writing (words) or editing (hours), or both. Two and a half days - Friday noon to Sunday midnight. 5k is a good starting point. Good luck!

If I'm not completely banned from these for utterly failing each time I try, I'll go for 5000 and 2 editing hours.

Thankfully, I do not banninate! And I wouldn't anyway - having a goal is important regardless of whether you meet it. If you accomplish anything, then the goal (and deadline) has worked its magic. :)

Okay, I didn't get as much writing done today as I'd hoped yet. Maybe I'll fit some in later but it's like pulling teeth today. 1284 words so far.

1,886 words so far. Aiming for 10,000 today, but I might have a bit of a job doing that. My grandparents are taking me out for dinner...
