One thing I noticed with the drift to other platforms, though, there is less of an obligation to comment because people expect most of their old followers to be somewhere else.
Ironic that it's taken me days to reply.. apologies! That will probably be normal for me, as LJ is blocked at my work (grr, arg!). But like you said, yes, this will be more like a blogging platform now with less expectation. Which is exactly what I need. :) Yay!

Very true that you can get something from LJ that you can't from other popular social networking sites. I am totally behind attempting to return in whatever capacity works for people. *boards the ship*

Welcome back! I never really left, even though I have a mirror journal over on DreamWidth which is mostly for a backup in case anything massive happens over here. Besides, I have waaaaaay too many icons over on this one, lol!!
