Toxic mom stuff
My sister (0cean)has been in therapy for a month or two now, and has been working on trust issues. I've talked to my sister about things before, but it was only today when I realized we have never deeply discussed our complex relationship with our mother until today when we only scratched the surface during my lunch break ( Read more... ) -

What a week . . . (job, depression, grief)
Wednesday at 8:30am everybody at Citibank was sent the same e-mail from our craptacular new CEO saying he is eliminating 11,000 jobs across the company by the end of the year. Nobody but people in high levels of management knew this was coming, so it was a blow to us all ( Read more... ) -
Drunk in a bar at the Salt Lake airport...
I'm at a fancy place called Cat Cora in the Salt Lake airport. The bartender lady is awesome; she custom made me a yummy strawberrry margarita and itis fabulous! I'm going to have a third before we meander back to our gate. Or is it the fourth... yeah, it's the fourth margarita I've had at this bar! In Utah. My brother and his daughter are also staying at my mom's so they can clear out dad's stuff from the garage. We sprinkled my dad's ashes Thanksgiving night, and it was really sad. It felt so final. My youngest sister and my brother were smoking where his ashes were buried and I took my first and last puff of a cigarette. It kind of felt ( Read more... ) -

I leave for one month only to come back to a crap-fest with the new "feed" for my LJ Friends page! I don't like this new change at all. -
Dropping classes
I'm at my academic advisor's office so I can drop my courses this semester. On one hand I feel like I failed, and on the other I feel relieved and I'm taking care of myself by eliminating stress.

Nope .. still suck at school (Update on work and school)
I retook the math test and still scored too low. I have to score 90% to advance to the next chapter; I scored 80%. I study and nothing sticks. I can't deal with work and school, and since I need money to live on and I don't hate my job I have to pick work. I'm going to withdrawal from my classes. I thought I could do it, and I failed.
