We have a place. It happened quickly; we took the third apartment we saw. It has beautiful hardwood floors downstairs -- perfect acoustics -- and an immense carpeted attic that's going to be the den/game room/music room/pillow-filled fun space. It's in a beautiful area -- a block away from a city park, and two blocks away from trendy shopping.

The last I read you were talking about finding an apartment but it didn't even say what state you were in. I read livejournal very scarcely now, so I miss a lot of stuff. I think I might go back and read of your adventures, though. The burningman-ish thing (or the real thing?) was long so I never got through the whole thing.

I posted happy birthday tidings to you in my journal, then realized that, with moving shenanigans, you'd probably never see it. So, again, happy birthday.

Apparently 30 is a whole lot easier to deal with on the other side of it. Every 30+ person I know says that being 28 or 29, staring 30 in the face, was a lot worse than actually being 30.
