The feeling of being stuck in a job which is making you ill is just awful. I wish I could magic up a better fit for you, hon. (I still have the interview post, I'm just needing a photo, and maybe it might magic up a bit more writing work, if you're able to send a picture I can put with it?)
if i recall correctly you are salaried? You have an insurance plan? With dr prescribed mandatory leave you go on STD and depending on your plan it's usually 100% of your salary for up to 20 weeks or something like that.
If that's the case, then take it. Take a couple of days to catch up on sleep. Then job search your butt off. Check every single local bank branch - branch managers hire those who walk in just as often, if not more so, than those who apply online. Check the government job listings. I moved from phone customer service into admin and i didn't (nor do i) have any degree from any post secondary institution. You just need to word your resume and highlight the points that they are looking for. I'm happy to help if/when you want.
also - have your thyroid levels checked. I recently found out my thyroid has more or less stopped pumping out it's lovely thyroid hormones. That likely describes my own feelings of depression, irritability, fatigue amongst other things. Look up hypothyroidism and see if there are any other symptoms that fit what's going on for you right now.
I was on Welbutrin... good stuff. Made me even-out without making me disconnect with the world or feel fuzzy headed. The best side effect was it made quitting smoking beyond easy... like two weeks after starting Welbutrin I realized I had gone an entire day and night without smoking and did not even feel like I had (no nicotine withdrawal at all).
But yeah, I heart Welbutrin... if only it wasn't about $5/day for me to stay on it. *kicks USA healthcare in the nuts*
I'm on Wellbutrin myself, and I can say that it works pretty damned well for me. No muddy-headedness, no sexual side effects, and a general increase in energy and improvement in mood. Your mileage may vary, of course, but it's done good things for my depression.
You have my empathy in what I know is an extremely trying situation. The people at work may not give a shit, but there are people who do.
