[Background]

Detailed History. One Piece has been going on for more than 10 years, and Robin has been a main character for many of them.

[Personality]Robin is a survivor, the epitome of "If you can't beat 'em, join 'em". She has dealt with drastic change a number of times in her life, and by this point, she's accepted that there are certain things that cannot be changed, and one just as well bend with the flow rather than attempt to stand against it. To other people, she seems unencroachable. Her thin-lipped smile is the mask she wears, and she offers it to all, even her closest of friends. She could be plotting the best method for breaking every bone in an enemy's body or slightly amused by someone's untimely fart, and her expression wouldn't waver. That isn't to say that she is actually that cold and detached. On the contrary, she's a passionate woman who relishes life and all of the simple pleasures it can offer. Her sojourn with the Strawhat Pirates has helped her break down the walls she'd erected to protect her heart, though it might be more accurate to say that they helped her install doors in these metaphorical walls, since she has a tendency to retreat behind

[Abilities]

Robin can "sprout" various parts of her body from any surface where there is room, and this within a certain area of affect, which her creator refers to as 200 hana hanas. No one is certain what this term of measurement refers to, but she's been shown using her ability to affect things from a great distance away. The strength of the sprouted limbs is the same as her own, though at times she will sprout a number of limbs to accomplish what one alone could not. However, it puts a great strain on her "real" body. Should one of the sprouted limbs be cut, her real limb will bleed. In spite of her physical limitations, she's found a number of uses for her power. In fact, she uses them often in even simple, daily routines. This can make her seem lazy or aloof sometimes.
