Noel had been spending the last few days faithfully staying by Elliot's side, making sure that he got plenty of rest and his needs met. His recovery seemed to be going smoothly, so she thought it would be fine to go outside for once. After all, there were monsters to exterminate, and looters to be chased away.

... Who she saw wasn't someone Noel thought she would see any time soon. That hair, that coat, that sword... There was no mistaking it. Noel had thought that this place had given her enough troubles already, but apparently it wasn't satisfied. She quickly summoned Bolverk into her hands, and took on a defensive position.

"R-Ragna the Bloodedge!" she called out, trying to exert authority and mask her fear. "How dare you show yourself in Somarium again!"

It seems that not a second can pass without trouble following Ragna. But whatever this village was, it seemed to have the familiar, almost grating voice of a face he really did not want to see. Nor did he expect.

The one person Ragna did not expect to see anymore was Noel Vermillion. And yet, she's here in this strange territory.

"What the? Noel?" he turned to the voice, flinching, almost cringing when he actually saw her face. He took notice of her defensive stance as well as that stutter. She seemed scared. Just what was she doing now? For that matter, what was she talking about?

"Wait, 'Somarium'? 'Again'? What the hell are you talking about, Noel?"

Noel's stern expression snaps to one of confusion. She knew that time acted strange in this world, but... How could it possible that one day she'd get to know Ragna the Bloodedge? Was this the reason that Tsubaki was assigned to kill her? Whatever the reason, Noel was far too surprised to ponder and put the pieces together.

"H-How do you know my name?!" That sounded less demanding than she wanted it to be. Then again, the answer to that didn't really matter. "A-A-Anyway! Even if you don't remember being here, you caused a lot of trouble! You destroyed an entire building for no reason!"

And she will not let you wreck this place's shit any more than it has been. :|

Now Ragna is even more confused and looking at Noel with disbelief. Does she not remember what happened or something? He figured she wasn't the sharpest tool in the shed but how the hell does someone forget something that happened three days prior?

""Weren't you the one told me your name?"

Speaking of memory loss, what in the hell was this girl spouting? 'Destroyed a building "here"'? He doesn't even know where this is! How could he have destroyed a building here?

"And what the hell are you talking about?! I don't even know where this is! How could I cause trouble in a place I've never even been before?!"

Ugh, Noel didn't want to explain everything to a dirty criminal, but it looked like she had no choice. Though she was willing to answer his questions, she doesn't let her guard down and keeps her guns raised.

"You have been here before!" she insists, trying her best to through the most fiercest glare at him. And failing. "This place is called Somarium, and it can pull people from different times and worlds. Sometimes people can leave this place, and come back not remembering anything."

... Alright. Her attempts at being threatening aside. What. Pull people from different times and worlds? So, if what this chick is saying is true, he's not in Kagutsuchi at all. And he's not even in his own world.

... What the hell is this girl smoking?

"You're freaking kidding, right? Did you get hit on the head or something?"

There was something about a SS-ranked criminal looking at her like she was some kind of idiot that made Noel feel like a battleship being hit by a torpedo. Then again, she also felt... really annoyed. After all, just look at this place! It was nothing like a Hierarchical City at all! Why did he have to be... such an idiot?!

"N-No!" Noel argued with a pout. "I'm really serious! Wh-Wh-Wh-Why would I make something like that up, anyway?!"

Even though Ragna has a hard time believing something as impossible as the fact that he was 'brought into another world', he doesn't remember seeing this place in Kagutsuchi at all. Nothing seemed familiar, not even the presence of the place. None of this adds up. How is something like this even possible? In other words, he's back at square one.

"How the hell is something like that possible? It doesn't make any sense!"

"Y-You're going to have to get used to it, because this place never makes any sense!" Noel couldn't believe this. She was having an actual conversation with Ragna the Bloodedge. "Go ahead and look through the phone in your pocket! The network will tell you the same thing!"

In Somarium, everything was possible. Noel had been stuck here for a year, and she still hadn't gotten used to things. Sure, she liked it here way better than back home, but there were times that she just wanted to leave. One of these times being right now.

"The... phone in my--?"

If there was one thing Ragna didn't remember doing, it was having a phone in his pocket. But, out of a morbid curiosity, he actually checked it and.

... Removed a phone like device from it. There really was a phone in his pocket. And he was positive nothing of the sort was there before. This is beginning to blow his mind. Did someone put this in his pocket when he wasn't paying attention? Is this the kind of insanity he has to 'get used to'?

"What the?! Who's idea of a sick joke is this?! How'd this thing get in my pocket?"

Suddenly having a phone would be the least of his worries. That was the tip of the iceberg, because things were only going to get worse down the road.

"Everyone gets a Dreamberry when they find themselves here," Noel was obviously not enjoying having to explain things to a horrible criminal. "It just... happens. You can contact other people trapped here, and occasionally it broadcasts your dreams."

An awkward pause as she realizes something. Oh, right... Ragna was a bad guy. Why did she stop being hostile?!

"A-Anyway! You better not try anything funny while you're here, Ragna the Bloodedge!"

"Dream...berry? Is that what this damn thing is called? What kinda name is that?"

At the mention of contacting other people, Ragna began to look through the options on the "Dreamberry". He sees a lot of names, not really paying much attention to any of them. Is that what she meant? And "broadcasting dreams"? Despite the sarcastic comment, Ragna was utterly confused and just plain annoyed at this entire situation. How is it even possible to get thrown into another freaking world? And get a phone thing that can "broadcast dreams" or whatever. Not to mention he really did not have time for this.

"I haven't even done anything here. And I don't plan on staying for long, anyway."

He really wasn't taking this seriously, wasn't he? Noel's annoyed frown increases. If they could leave so easily, then they wouldn't be having this conversation right now!

"As much as I wished otherwise, you can't leave on your own will," she informed him. "For example, I've been stuck here for a year already."

No one in their right mind would believe the fact that they were taken into another world right off the bat. His own annoyed look deepens. She mentioned people being able to leave earlier, didn't she? Something about people being able to leave and then 'come back' with no memory of being there in the first place? But her mentioning she's been here for a year, apparently. Just adds even more bewilderment on top of the annoyance. How... is that even possible? He just saw her! How could she have been stuck here... just, what?!

"What the hell do you mean a year? I just saw you a few days ago!" he told her. His tone matches that of his dangerously confused and constantly annoyed expression.

"This place takes people from different times and worlds!" she argued. Just wait 'til he hears about the ghosts. "I mean, I technically haven't even met you yet! I haven't even landed in Kagutsuchi!"

... Noel's actually a bit curious as how how she met Ragna back in their world, but that didn't matter right now. A criminal is a criminal!

"How the hell...?"

... Should he even question anything anymore? Mentioning the ghosts wouldn't be the best move. He's confused enough and he's still trying to just wrap his head around the fact that he was "apparently" taken into another world. And the Noel in front of him is from a time before he even met her. Before everything happened. This may or may not mean he doesn't have to look after her anymore. It would be easier that way. But. Goddammit. Either way, she's just going to be chasing him down and trying to arrest him, isn't she? Which one is more of a pain in the ass.

And as little sense as the fact that he's really in 'another world', a dream world at that, makes to him, that's really the only damn sensible explanation isn't it? But the fact that he can't leave. Dammit. He can't waste time here! Shit!
