Kid was doing his usual rounds-straightening signs, dusting things off, basically setting everything back into order-when he suddenly felt the sudden appearance of a new soul in town. This wasn't exactly common since he was hardly ever within the same vicinity of a new arrival, so it still surprised him whenever it did happen.
So he turned around and saw the girl that was certainly not there only a few minutes prior (more like an hour-that was how long he had been where he currently was). After watching her slowly gain her senses, Kid waited a few more minutes before finally speaking up.
"In case you're wondering, you are not dreaming. At least, not in the usual sense of the term." Not really knowing whether this really was a dream they were trapped in or if they were in a completely different world still bothered him, but he had to make do with what he had.
"Currently I as well as a few others are investigating what little information we have. And unfortunately," he sighed, "it is very little. Whatever actual important information that may be around has been locked up tight. But there are some things you could look through."
With his hand behind his back he silently summoned his Dreamberry, pretending as if he was pulling it from his back pocket. Kid then held the device up to her. "I believe you discovered this on your person earlier. It's called a Dreamberry."
"If you can redirect me to any of them, I think I can figure it out," she told him then, paying no heed to his sigh. If there was anything around, she'd find it; if it meant Ariadne had to stoop to Cobb's level and put together a team in order to get in there? So be it. At least she couldn't bring any dangerous projections into things.
"Yeah," Ariadne said, eyes shifting to the Dreamberry for a moment. It was less 'found' and more 'realised it was there' along with her totem, but that didn't change anything. She decided it was best to let him continue with his tangent; he had brought up the topic for a reason, and she could ask questions after.
The fact that there was actually something, and she didn't have to go from nothing - or the rumours passed between citizens, which were pretty much the same - practically made Ariadne jump with glee inside; on the outside, she remained stoic as ever as she watched him show her through it. It wasn't the best lead to go on, but she wasn't in the dark.
Despite the obvious, of course: that apparently this world's dreams weren't like her own, that it was seemingly a world all of its own, rather than one she could readily modify. Not that she wouldn't try.
"I guess there's nothing to do but keep looking, then."
"The question then becomes 'what is the reason' and if we should be concerned about it. The only reason why something so important would be kept secret is if its public knowledge could somehow harm us or be exploited."
"Eve more to look into, I guess," Ariadne replied, looking almost at home with the idea of having to pry to get what she wanted to know: in a way, she was. Granted, it was far less easy to tell what she needed to look into, but it still wouldn't stop her.
"You seem rather familiar with this process," Kid couldn't help but note with a small smile. In a way, this was a good thing. The more people who were willing to help with the mystery, the better.
"I built dreams," Ariadne told him plainly. That was it at its most base: she wasn't the forger, nor the chemist, nor the leader of the team, but she was arguably the most important of anyone.
"It's exactly what it sounds like. I designed dreams," she tried again, pursing her lips slightly as she thought of the best way to explain it. "I'm an architect of the mind, I guess is the best way to put it."
After being in Somarium for a while, he knew there were strange things out there. But to think there was another world that dealt with dreams...perhaps it wasn't so farfetched, but still not exactly expected.

As he spoke, he pulled up the said folder on his screen.
"You will find a few interesting bits of information there. Once I've compiled a list of my own findings, I will share it with everyone."
The only reason why it was taking so long was because he kept having to start over. It had to be perfect.

She built...dreams?
"...I'm not sure I quite understand."
